The East Preston Day Care and Family Resource Centre is a non-profit organization that has been in the community
of East Preston for 50 years. In September 2024, we are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Day Care and the
31st Anniversary of the East Preston Family Resource Centre. The main goal of our organization is to nurture and
support families in East Preston, surrounding communities and beyond. We are proud of our history and heritage.
Even more importantly, we’re proud of our children, youth, and families, team and their accomplishments over the
past 50 years.

It’s now time to celebrate the past, present and future with our Celebration Dinner Event on September 14, 2024 at
the East Preston Recreation Centre from 6pm-9pm. This will be a fun night with Reverend Andrea Anderson as our
Master of Ceremonies and entertainment featuring Ronalda Provo and Khalilah Brooks as well as an opportunity to
connect with our community while enjoying a delicious meal from The Opus Café & Catering.

Additionally, our only other Guest Speaker for the night will be Trina Fraser, Executive Director. Trina will share
updates on the centre’s current initiatives, including services at four daycare locations, with a licensing capacity of
224 children, as well as support services from prenatal supports, and to seniors in East Preston and beyond. Trina
will also discuss our organizations future growth and expansion goals.
